Mediterranean cruise review 2007
On board the MS Westerdam

The cruise set sail from Civitavecchia in Rome, Italy aboard the Holland-America MS Westerdam | ||
| on the 18th September 2007 with a host of Irish entertainers and once again including of course | |||
| our very own Ann Breen. The cruise was a sell out with over 2000 guests. | |||
| The cruise started with a huge reception given by Gertrude Byrne (the cruise promoter) with live | |||

Once on board the guests had lunch and later the New York Showband entertained everyone to an | ||
| Irish sail away party as the ship set sail at 5.00pm to sail the Mediterranean. | |||

| The itinerary had it all as we experienced the romantic history and breathtaking beauty of the regions enchanting | |||
| ports, romantic coastlines and distinguished cities. | |||
| Anyone who has been on a cruise will know that the food, accommodation and facilities are first classbut on this | |||
| occasion the entertainment from the all star Irish artists was outstanding. | |||

| Ann appeared on Wednesday evening at 8.00pm in the Vista lounge along with Brendan Shine | |||
| and Druid. On the Thursday evening Ann appeared again at 10.00pm in the Vista lounge along | |||
| with Brendan & Aisling Bower, Mac & O and Michael English. | |||

On Monday evening we were treated to a farewell cabaret extravaganza by the all star Irish cast | ||
| including of course our very own Ann Breen. | |||
| All the artists who had appeared during the week gave a final performance and this was a chance | |||
| for us to enjoy another fabulous evening. | |||

| After talking to Ann, she agreed that it had been an enjoyable experience working once again on board a cruise ship | |||
| which also gave her time to relax and enjoy the many attractions and facilities that the cruise ship had to offer. | |||
| Ann has again been invited to appear on the cruise in February 2008 which will set sail from Port Everglades in | |||
