| I saw the 1945 movie "I'll Be Your Sweetheart" at the Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto California. I looked for a vocal recording of the title and found yours. My mother was Elizabeth(betty)Perry, daughter of Mary and John Perry - born and raised in Downpatrick. Mum sadly died but was a great fan of your music and I just wanted to let you know that we gained great comfort from playing your version of "pal of my cradle days" at her funeral. It was our favourite song to each other. |
